Customised transporter for hospitals

An innovative solution for the Bordeaux hospital centre.

For several years now, we have been equipping more than 41 hospitals with our innovative electric transporters. At the demand of partners such as Cap Emploi and Agefiph in France, we are developing mobility solutions tailored to the needs of hospital staff who are required moving a lot between the different departments on a daily basis and to improve the work environment.

Context and Challenge

In March 2023, the Bordeaux hospital center, a loyal customer since July 2020, contacted us to find a solution allowing a hospital worker, on sick leave, to return to his position in the medical connection department.

The requirements included several specific constraints :

driving in hospital corridors : the transporter had to be able to easily navigate the confined spaces of the hospital.
Customised box : the box had to be adapted to transport specific cooling boxes.
Ergonomics and Comfort : a customised seat for the driver had to be designed according to the exact measurements of the hospital worker’s upper and lower limbs.

Made to measure solutions

We have developed a made-to-measure transporter that meets all the requirements of the specifications, with special features such as :

Suitability and handling ability : The transporter was designed to move easily through narrow hospital corridors.
Customised box : A completely redesigned box, with several locked compartments and a space dedicated to storing a trolley on wheels.
Ergonomics : The seat has been fully customised, with armrests for optimum comfort and handlebars adjusted to the agent’s specific measurements, ensuring an ergonomic and safe driving position.

Security et Features

To guarantee the safety and reliability of our transporter, we have equipped it with the following accessories :

Horn and lights : Installation of a horn and front and rear lights to improve visibility.
Reversing alarm and rearview mirror : Added reversing alarm and rear-view mirrors for greater safety when driving.
Customised speed : Locked speed limit at 6 km/h for safe use in the hospital environment.

Delivery and conmissioning

After a strict development phase, the transporter was delivered in December 2023. This made-to-measure solution enabled the hospital worker to return to work in complete safety and comfort, while perfectly meeting the logistical needs of the Bordeaux hospital centre.

Customised transporter for agricultural operations

An innovative solution for collecting ground dust.

In November 2022, a farm specializing in the cultivation of potatoes in the department of Sarthe (France) approached us to design a lightweight electric vehicle capable of moving soil dust from point A, where the potatoes are cleaned, to a waste collection area. The challenge was to create an efficient transporter that could quickly and easily collect, transport and unload the soil dust.

Context and challenge

The farm needed a solution to :

Moving soil dust : Transport soil dust from the potato cleaning room to the waste collection area.
Easy unloading : Ensure efficient and rapid unloading of the box for effective waste management.

Solutions made to measure

We have developed a special transporter, equipped with specific functions to meet the needs of the farming business :

Tipping trailer: integration of a tipping trailer, offering efficient equipment management with ground-level unloading capacity and a volume of 0.25 m³.
Spring Pressure Plate : Added a spring pressure plate to the deck, allowing automatic or manual emptying, providing great flexibility.
Waterproof Construction : Oil and watertight bucket design to prevent leaks and ensure clean handling of soil dust.
Adaptation and Innovation

To accommodate this type of dumpster, our department R&D had to review the initial design of the box and adapt it to the specific requirements of the agricultural operation. The main adaptations include :

Strengthening the Structure : modification of the structure to support the tipping trailer and ensure optimum stability.
Optimization of Ergonomics : ergonomic design for easy loading and unloading of soil dust.
Flexibility of Use : improved flexibility of use to meet different farm requirements.

Results and Advantages

Thanks to this tailor-made solution, the farm in the Sarthe region can now efficiently collect and transport soil dust, optimising waste management and improving productivity. The innovative features of the tipping bucket and spring-loaded pressure plate ensure fast, flexible emptying, perfectly tailored to the customer’s specific needs.

Specific version of the «AIRPORT PROPRETE» transporter for the GSF group

Our long-standing customer, the major cleaning group GSF, asked us to develop a specific version of our best-selling transporter, the AIRPORT PROPRETE, which is already used in more than 6 French airports. Their need was clear: a transporter with a wider and higher box for very specific use at Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport in France.

Requirements and purposes

GSF needed a transporter capable of efficiently collecting waste at one of the world’s busiest airports, handling over 76 million passengers a year. The main requirements were :

Larger Box : a wider and taller box to increase waste collection capacity.
Customised speed : speed adaptation to guarantee the safety and efficiency of cleaning operations.
Security : essential equipment such as rotating beacon, reversing beeper and rear-view mirrors to ensure safety in high-traffic areas.
Retention container : a retention tank integrated into the rear box to contain liquids and prevent leaks during transport.

Developed solution

We have designed a light and robust transporter, meeting all of GSF’s specific requirements. The main features of this new version include :

Larger box : design of a wider and taller box for increased collection capacity.
Customisation and Security : integration of functions such as speed customisation, rotating beacon, reverse beep and rear-view mirrors.
Retention tank : installation of a retention tank to contain and secure liquids.

Collaboration and Esthetics

To strengthen the presence of the GSF brand within the airport, we collaborated with our partner in Brest to give the box a full covering. This design not only protects the transporter, but also promotes the image of GSF to the millions of passengers passing through Roissy Charles de Gaulle.

Results and Advantages

Thanks to this tailor-made solution, GSF can now collect waste more efficiently and safely, while boosting its visibility and reputation in a very busy environment. This version of the AIRPORT PROPRETE transporter demonstrates our ability to meet the specific needs of our customers with innovative, customised solutions.

Custom-built electric transporter for a major European aircraft manufacturer

In May 2022, a major supply chain logistics group requested our expertise to respond to a complex problem encountered by one of their customers, a major European aircraft manufacturer. They needed an electric transport solution capable of moving carbon sheets measuring 4000×850 mm.

Context and Challenge

The challenge was to transport these carbon plates in protective modules from a storage warehouse at -18°C to the shipping area, 800 metres away. It was also essential to design a box capable of protecting the plates from bad weather throughout the day.

Made to measure Solution

We have designed a bespoke electric transporter, specifically tailored to the client’s requirements. Key features of our solution include :

Specific Dimensions : a transporter capable of safely supporting and moving 4000x850mm carbon sheets.
Weather Protection : a specially designed box to protect the carbon plates from weather conditions.
Adaptation to Extreme Temperatures : the machine is optimised to operate in extreme cold conditions, with storage at -18°C.
Logistics efficiency : a robust, reliable transporter capable of covering the 800-metre distance between the warehouse and the dispatch area without interruption.

Delivery and Commissioning

After several months of development and testing, the delivery was made in October 2022 by a specialised forwarder. The bespoke electric transporter was commissioned at the client’s site, perfectly meeting their specific logistics needs and significantly improving the efficiency of their internal transport operations.
